A reputation management professional focused on providing clear guidance regarding issues management, Mistie Thompson offers proven expertise and an ability to quickly assess and decisively act in a crisis. In her ten years at St. Louis-based reputation management firm Standing Partnership, Mistie specialized in providing a full range of crisis communications services to clients including TWA/American Airlines, a major multi-state health system, and an airline screening company in the wake of 9/11. With an ability to quickly grasp the nucleus of a crisis situation and develop the communications strategy and messaging to mitigate damage and repair relationships, Mistie has extensive experience working with high-level executives in preparing and delivering all written, verbal, and online crisis communications materials.
 
In 2009, Mistie founded Sweet Tea Communications and has spearheaded strategic marketing communications across a number of industries, including politics, higher education, entertainment and health care – all from word-of-mouth referrals by satisfied clients. Her talent for quick, concise, relevant writing and strategic thinking has been successfully tapped by companies of all sizes in a variety of situations.
 
Mistie holds an undergraduate degree in history from the University of Arkansas and a master of social work from Washington University in St. Louis. She completed her master’s practicum at the Child Welfare League of America (CWLA) in Washington, D.C., researching and writing a report on best practices in pediatric mental health managed care that was published by CWLA and presented to the governors of all 50 states.
 
In her life outside Sweet Tea, Mistie serves on the board of Christian private school Living Water Academy. An award-winning choreographer and dance team coach, Mistie has led St. Louis area high school teams to two National Dance Team Championship titles and numerous state championships in Missouri, Arkansas, Kansas, and Oklahoma.

He has also served in the public sectors as the Director of Police and, later, the Secretary of Public Safety for the Municipality of San Pedro Garza Garcia in Nuevo Leon, Mexico.  Rogelio’s solid, ethical actions set the tone for his 1,000+ police officers, 750 transit officers, 50 civil protection officers and 120 administrative staff members.    His efforts were recognized via the Directors Award from the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATFE) for support to the Law Enforcement Mission in times of crisis at the U.S. Consulate in Monterrey and  various Recognition Certificates from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), U.S. Department of State Diplomatic Security, U. S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) for support to the U.S. Diplomatic Mission.

 

Rogelio has held Professor of Law appointments at the Universidad Antonoma de Nuevo Leon, Technologico de Monterrey, and Facultad Libre de Derecho de Monterrey specializing in criminal law and litigation matters.   He earned his bachelor’s degree in law at the Universidad de Monterrey and his master’s degree in criminal justice and law enforcement Administration from Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law.
